About WDIB Founder. Dr. Tiana Von Johnson
Million-dollar branding coach/entrepreneur/publisher/filmmaker/beauty enthusiast/motivational speaker and author, Dr. Tiana Von Johnson is living the life that she loves. Using her extraordinary gifts and skills, Tiana has developed a significant following among aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals who seek her words of wisdom and advice on an impressive array of subjects. Speaking from the heart and armed with life lessons, Tiana has an uncanny knack for touching lives and helping people grow their businesses. She enriches audiences with her earthy, savvy, charismatic appeal as she travels across the world conducting master classes and appearing as a keynote speaker and panelist at several high-profile events.
Tiana has nimbly climbed the ladder of success ever since she was a Bronx, New York elementary school student whose curiosity about the arts and skills of negotiation and entrepreneurship overtook the need to live an ordinary childhood. Observing her father’s business skills as she watched him selling records off the streets of New York and admiring her mother’s talents for cooking, hair styling, doll making and flower designing, just fueled the burning ambition in Tiana’s blood.
Recognizing at an early age the importance of education, Tiana pursued her educational aspirations by receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration from New York’s Metropolitan College. She then went on to study for her PhD in Business Administration & Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Later, she was awarded two Honorary Doctor of Philosophy degrees for over 15 years of global business development and philanthropic initiatives.
After a few years of hard work in corporate America, she left a lucrative career to become an entrepreneur. As fate would have it, the numerous skills she developed over the years enhanced her ability to quickly rise in the highly competitive real estate industry. As a result, by the age of 27-years-old, she had generated over $1 million dollars and the media took notice of the determined young mogul. As owner of the Wall Street luxury real estate firm, Gold Star, and the national investment company, Minority Investors Alliance (MIA) she became the subject of articles in such prestigious outlets as Black Enterprise, CNN, The Real Deal, Crain’s New York Business, TV One and more. She even filmed her own television pilot, “Powerhouse,” for NBC-Universal.
Although she has branded the tagline, “B-line to the money, head straight to the bank,” Tiana’s compassionate nature keeps her grounded and focused. She gives back to the community through her organization, Women Doing It Big (WDIB), which was launched in 2012. WDIB’s mission is to motivate, educate and recognize women (and men) during its annual empowerment events. An impressive array of star power has supported WDIB with their presence including Naturi Naughton from Power, the legendary Percy Miller aka Master P, R&B Divas Stars Lil’ Mo, Syleena Johnson, Monifah and many others.
Tiana’s quest to helping women has led her to launch the highly popular, Women Doing It Big Magazine (a nationally-distributed publication which targets female entrepreneurs). Simultaneously, she launched the V2V Project to provide a platform for women to tell the world about their individual journeys and how they ultimately were able to forge a new path. Tiana also published a book and documentary film, Victim to Victory: 12 Unbelievable Stories of Heartache, Healing and Hope, where she taps into the spirit of a dozen souls in the real-life accounts of women who rose above their personal challenges.
Tiana spends most of her time overseeing her operations from her 5,000sf office and production studio in New Jersey. Day-to-day she helps entrepreneurs and as a hobby, Tiana, promotes her high-end beauty subscription brand, Ambition, which sells an array of luxury beauty products.
